Friday School is offered during the 10am service

The Bible describes children as the "greatest in the kingdom of heaven" ( Matt 18:4) and we know that our Father in heaven is very serious about children not being lost (Matt 18:14)

Our aim is to teach the children Christian values and Biblical truths in a way that they can understand and relate to. We want them to feel that it is 'Cool to be Christians' and to help their parents to equip them for their Christian walk. We strive to make them feel cherished and safe and to enjoy the experience of Friday School.

These very important young people are taken care of in different age groups and told about Jesus, using excellent lessons and teaching aids by David C Cook ministries.

We have 32 adults helping with Junior Church. Teachers are scheduled for teaching in four week blocks. This enables the teachers to attend sermons, but also ensures some continuity for the children. Younger groups are attended by a teacher and an assistant.

A creche (or nusery) is available during service for 3 year olds and younger.

The children are grouped into 6 groups according to age. Lessons include some singing and crafts to reinforce the lesson. Take-home papers are given out, to inform parents about what their children learned and to help them continue with the theme at home.

If you don't come with an attitude we certainly hope that you will leave with one! We meet in the School building next to the Church. We have also set aside one Friday each month so that the youth can remain in the service and participate in communion with family.

In our youth meetings last year we covered the basic doctrines of our Christian faith. This year we shall be focussing more on living the Christian life and developing an attitude that is pleasing to God. Check out our SaarTeen website!
